Facilities Available in the Cottage
Apart from all the natural facilities of the area such as: -
- Wide open and largely deserted countryside, for walking or cycling

a comfortable stay and also to entertain and inspire you.
The cottage is fully fitted and furnished to a high standard and generously equipped throughout to make your stay as comfortable and congenial as possible.
The main room downstairs has a stone built fireplace with wood-burning stove in the lounge area, a baby grand piano and a dining area looking out onto the fields and trees.
Downstairs also is a modern kitchen and a shower room.

The kitchen is well equipped with a large fridge- freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer and electric cooker,
Also microwave, the usual kettle, toaster, etc and a good supply of cookware, crockery, cutlery and kitchen tools.
There should be every convenience there that you will need.
There are exposed wooden beams throughout and it is tastefully decorated to a high standard.
Upstairs there is a bathroom and two double bedrooms, one with a king size bed and space for ready bed/cot or the inflatable matress.
The second bedroom is smaller and cosy. The bedrooms have sloping ceilings, which partly reduces head-room but also provides a romantic, cosy atmosphere.
Outside is a large stone wall enclosed garden with a patio area with table and 6 chairs, a barbecue stand for portable or disposable barbecues.
There magnificent unspoiled views look out across the fields to where the South Tyne River weaves its way through the woodland.
In the corner of the garden is a lockable rustic stone garden room with views across the field for use as a studio, afternoon tea or for storing bikes for example.
There you will find garden games, garden chairs, a rotary dryer and a good supply of logs for the wood-burner.

A generous library of quality books of many different types,some fiction but more books to inform and inspire an interest in life and the world around.
Also a library of DVDs of natural history and documentary programmes to entertain and encourage you, and CDs of relaxing classical and other music
In the lounge there is a 42 " TV with Freeview and Freesat, a HiFi and WiFi.
There are also many Christian and informative videos and serene music, digitally stored in the TV, to help make your stay a time of Spiritual refreshment and renewal.
